Minimum Chart
This is not a useful chart. It lacks everything that gives a chart meaning. But, it does draw a picture and shows the minimum info necessary to get a chart.

var minimumChart = {
		chartType: 'pie1', /*or, bar1, line1, table1*/
		chartSpecs: {
			seriesList: [
				{
					values: [10, 20, 30]
				}
			]
		}
	};

Reasonable Chart
You could actually use this one. It has labels on the segments and a title describing what it means.

var chartSpec = {
	chartType: 'bar1',
	title: 'Alphabet Demo',
	chartSpecs: {
		labels: [
			{
				abbreviation: 'A',
			},
			{
				abbreviation: 'B',
			},
			{
				abbreviation: 'C',
			}
		],
		seriesList: [
			{
				values: [10, 20, 30]
			}
		]
	}
};

When this was being written, the very first thing that people wanted was to show descriptive text when a pie chart segment was hovered over. This is accomplished by making the label items more complicated.

var chartSpec = {
	chartType: 'pie1',
	title: 'Alphabet Demo',
	chartSpecs: {
            labels: [
               {
                  abbreviation: "A",
                  description: "this will hover over the A pie segment"
               },
               {
                  abbreviation: "B",
                  description: "this will hover over the B pie segment"
               },
               {
                  abbreviation: "C",
                  description: "this will hover over the C pie segment"
               }
            ],
		seriesList: [
			{
				values: [10, 20, 30]
			}
		]
	}
};
